Treatments Involved in a Smile Makeover in Gettysburg, PA

We offer several cosmetic dental treatments for our smile makeovers. Patients must be in good oral health to be candidates for cosmetic dental care. We can recommend general and restorative treatments if needed.

Typically, if patients require orthodontic treatment and want a brighter smile, we will recommend Invisalign treatment first before whitening. It is much easier to whiten straight teeth than a crooked smile. The same can be true of Invisalign and dental bonding or veneer treatment.

Our team uses multiple treatments during a smile makeover for the best results:

Invisalign

Clear Invisalign aligners gradually straighten teeth over time. Patients switch out each pair of aligners every two weeks as they shift teeth into a better position. Unlike metal braces, Invisalign trays are removable, which means patients can eat hard or crunchy foods. It is also much easier to clean teeth with Invisalign because patients can floss between teeth and brush without wires or brackets in the way.

Teeth Whitening

We offer KöR, which uses in-office and take-home treatments to help patients receive a brilliant smile. This whitening method uses sealed trays to keep out saliva. With many other whitening treatments, saliva can impact the effectiveness of the whitening ingredients. Our team ensures that the active ingredients stay active so patients can get the best results possible. Although this whitening treatment can take months, patients often receive longer-lasting results. Many patients will see results that last for months or years after treatment.

Dental Veneers

Our veneers are porcelain ceramic, reflecting light like natural tooth enamel. Veneers are thin shells that we use to cover the front of teeth. Patients can cover teeth in their smile line with veneers. Many patients cover all of the teeth that show when they smile with veneers. However, we can offer single or multiple veneers if different teeth impact the smile’s look.

Bonding Treatment

Dental bonding treatment is similar to veneers because it addresses tooth stains and dental injuries. However, bonding treatment uses a biocompatible resin material. We can sculpt this material to prepared teeth, covering tooth chips, cracks, and discoloration. We recommend bonding for patients with smaller areas of tooth damage or staining. Bonding is also more economical than veneers and a more efficient fix for small issues.
